Celebrating Failure
This past semester me and a bunch of my friends have been playing in a competitive intramural softball league. We came into the first game excited because we knew we have the talent but we ended up losing by one run after having two opportunities to tie the game up. This nail biter of a game was rough because we knew we could've won without a couple of dumb mistakes, but it was also a good measure to see how good our team actually was. We fought through adversity and were able to come back, but we still failed as a team to get the win. I think before this semester this type of lose would have destroyed me, but I was able to see some positives in this loss because of what I've learned this semester. I learned we were a good team that can compete with anyone, but we just had to get rid of some rust so we could end playing at our full potential.

Hey there Dylan, I like how you used an athletic failure for an example in this assignment. Having participated in competitive sports myself, I can understand the grief that comes with losing a game. I'm glad that you see yourself being able to handle failure better. http://ochoasteven2018.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html
ReplyDeleteHey Dylan,
ReplyDeleteGreat job of point out your “failures” or “personal lessons of limitations” what I like to call them. I am also a very competitive person when it comes to my academics my biggest competition is myself because,I don't like to fail at anything. Normally its those small little errors that used to get me extrely frusted. This class tought me it is okay to fail becuase when you do that is when you learn the most.
Overall keep you the great work and good luck. Oh yeah, feel free to leave some feedback on my post.
